I hope you had a perfect Xmas and now you're slowly preparing yourself for even grander New Year's Eve. If you want to pick some anime to watch with your friends, here are some clues ;)

Skip Beat! chaps 1-168; Crazy Girl Shin Bia chaps 52-58; The One chap 72

 Yes, I did it. I've spent a week of my free time life just reading 'Skip Beat'. After that it's the longest manga I've ever read. And it's still ongoing O_o Pretty creepy O_o In the meantime there were 6 chaps of Crazy Girls Shin Bia, as well as 'The One' chap 72, released. So here some words about them

I've got really a crazy time. My studies aren't easy one, so I spend time learning (or looking for excuses to not learn at all...). Writing here was a little too much, however in many titles interesting things has happened.

Not so shoujo manga stuff

You know, it's impossible to live reading shoujo manga only. So I've got some other titles in my interest:P

Legend of the Sun Knight (mamaa.wordpress.com)

1. Legend of the Sun Knight
it's a stupid and hilarious manga^^ I love it^^ Maybe art is not so good... still it makes me laugh a lot^^ The thing is: there are 12 knights: Sun knight, Earth knight, Storm knight and so on... It's only a position but still it is well known how they should behave and who are they friends with and how they look like. So even if their character is totally different, they hate 'friends' and have to dye hair, they do anything to maintain the image. If you're interested in what exactly they have to do, take a look in 'Legend of the Sun Knight'

2. Samurai High School
another stupid-but-funny manga. There are twins. Boy loves to cook and is as sweet as candy, while girl is really strong and wants to become first female Universe Samurai. To fulfill her dream twins swap their roles and go to prestigious high school. Will they finish it without getting found out?

And now... Animes! Of course, they are based on mangas. And I'm sure, mangas are better... But... You can't live reading mangas only!

3. I my me! Strawberry Eggs
I've watched first episode yet. This time it's about physical education teacher. He has to pretend being woman to get a job. From summary it looked nice, after first episode my feelings are uncertain. Not mention the main girl character is the clumsiest creature I've ever seen, I can't imagine her having romantic relationship with teacher. And after this episode it looks like this. The series has only 13 episodes, so I guess I'll watch it anyway.

4. Bakuman 
It's an anime based on a manga about making a manga which is hoped to be base of an anime ^^. The only one title of this season new animes which interested me. You may know the manga, it's quite popular. Personally, I saw her many times, but title sounds like 'monsters and mecha shounen' so I didn't even once give it a chance. At this moment it's hard to say if it was a wise decision. It's a nice story, yet I'm afraid it will make me bored quite quickly. Time will tell.

5. Nodame Cantabile
Anime about students from a music academy. Made by the same studio as Honey and Clover. I haven's started yet, but I'm quite positive I would love it like I love Honey and Clover.

6. Bartender 
 There's a magic pub with a barman known as the 'Glass of God'. People who are lost in life come here to be listened and to drink a perfectly made best suited for them drink. It's a series you may watch one episode from time to time, sipping it like a drink. And it's great. I fell in love with the atmosphere.

As you can see: I can't rest without new stories... I stopped with picking new manga and here we are...

Tenshi no Uta vol 5 extra - Drops of Moon

I was wrong. Internet curse is still active. Now I lost my mail... Oh, I can get it back if I pay... so... I think, I rather forget about it. Automatic log-in and passwords remembered on a computer are bad ideas :/ Anyway, today we get new chap of Tenshi no Uta and it's really, really nice ^^ I can even recommend it anybody who didn't start this manga yet, because it's a side story

And more than week has passed... Like every autumn since I've started studies I had problems with the net. I'm starting to believe it's some kind of curse... Well, now everything is ok and it should stay like this to... the next autumn :P The number of new chaps is scary... I wonder if I finish this post before midnight... I guess I'll skip part with summary of plot.

OMG, my brother got married on Saturday and then I came back to Cracow on Sunday (it takes 9 hours by train T_T) and started my studies. I've got loads of classes and, as I spent first week of semester at home, I have to catch up with material... Not mention time for writing, I hardly had time for reading T_T. Luckily, there weren't many updates.So, some words about them

Let me share some odd thought ;) As I understand 'Kimi ni' is connected with 'you' and when I read 'Sasagu' a word "Sausage' pops up in my mind :P So I can't help it but for me 'kimi ni sasagu' is like 'you're a sausage' :P Kinda stupid :P
Anyway... Let's get to the point:

Yesterday I was surfing the net and I came across the title 'White Garden'. I've remembered it was a story I had started a month ago and haven't finished yet. So I did it yesterday :P As there is nothing new at MF and mangareader, some words about this manga.

What a delightful... uhmm... afternoon! Looks like I took my time before I started up a computer :P I've decided to write today about 'Nineteen, Twenty-one' and 'Honey & Clover' anime if there wouldn't be any updates. And what I see? New chap of 'Nineteen, Twenty-one' on mangafox ^^ A coincidence or destiny? And huge upload on mangareader! My beloved XX Shina and Akuma to Love song. I'm so happy!

Crazy Girl Shin Bia chap 43; Kaichuu!

There were no updates yesterday so I spent time surfing Wikipedia. I ended up at pages about Holocaust... It terrible, terrible thing what people could have done to each other, don't you think so? At the end of the day new chap of Crazy Girl popped out but I wasn't in a mood to read it. I did it today. I also came across with Kaichuu. Looks interesting. Even it's not a shoujo though.

Ouran High School Host Club - after the last chapter

I woke up this morning, checked manga sites... read a half of a book, ran some errands, checked manga sites, did some household jobs, checked manga sites and there is still nothing T_T I feel depressed. It's understandable to believe when you've got over 30 different mangas started, there should be at least one new chapter everyday. But it's not like that :( Of course, I've got plenty planed-to-read titles but I don't feel like starting them. Have you ever got the feeling you know to many characters? In my mind stories started to mix up. Not mention names, it's difficult for me to say if this girl likes blond guy, or brown one. Terrible. (after reading a chap I remember everything, yet IMO I shouldn't pick any new manga for a while)

As you can see, I've changed design of the blog, allowed everyone's comments and now I'm getting to know available gadgets. Hope you like it :)

Anyway, let's move to a root of the matter. Ouran High School Host Club manga is finished. It's difficult for me to write general review. I started reading more than 2 years ago and it's thanks to this title I got interested in shoujo manga or, more specifically, gender-bender shoujo manga... So here my personal thoughts

Papillon-Hana to Chou

I read Hana to Chou yesterday, so some words about it.

Plot: there are 2 twin sisters: Hana & Ageha, they have lived for about 10 years in different environments - Hana with parents in the city, Ageha with grandmother in the country. It's almost 6 years since their family joined back together, but their grudges haven't disappeared. Till the moment... Ageha meets schools trainee counsellor Kyouu...

Vampire Knight chap 65

I started yesterday post about Papillon-Hana to Chou and Ouran and I planned to finish it this morning. Although, when I start the computer, the first thing I do is checking mangafox and mangareader. And there is: 65th chap of Vampire Knight. As usual, what I felt seeing new chap of this manga was aversion. And, as usual, I started reading.

Well... it's hard to tell what has happened in this chap O_o looks like... nothing? The call between Usui's older brother and his butler was hilarious, but the rest... well just boring. IMO, the story should end as fast as possible, coz' it get 'ouran' syndrome :P Nin-nin.

Tenshi no Uta chap 21
I've read spoilers and now I've lost all remains of  love I had for this series. It always was hard for me to read it because of old-fashioned style of drawing but the first chap was so great *_* So I was reading ;) And I won't stop ;)

Anyway, this chap:
I'm pretty sure that it was On who made problems with broadcasting. It really gets on my nerves he is so sneaky :[ I'm interested in his mystery, but still, I hate him (well... I don't like Kouga too ;P). It's annoying that dessert's success is thanks to him. Like he was some kind of magician... And still he doesn't care about band at all. I do hate this attitude. Dessert had gone their own way to success in their own pace before On showed up. And now they got popularity which would surely disappear in the moment On leaves the band :/ Really annoying!


Crazy Girl Shin Bia chap 41, 42
It's difficult for me to admit I'm reading Hwang Mi Ri works :P I've written about it before that I hate her art, characters and plots and I'm still reading it :shy:
I wouldn't even comment this chaps because chap 42 has got everything what's the worse in HMR works, but chap 41 made me laugh :P It's so exceptional that I had to write about it ;) Of course if you don't read this series it's not worth to even start read it, but still: I FOUND STH IN HMR WORKS FUNNY!!! What a day! ;)

One other thing:
After 4 months I've found place where I can look through statistics ^^ And I found out that I'm not alone and some people happened to be at this site ;) There are not any comments so I didn't know earlier... I'm kinda slow with community sites :P Anyway, I'm glad there are some people who have read what I had written :P

Yay, i've passed all my exams^^

It's not like i haven't read any manga at all... I've started many, many new titles :P

Like 'noblesse' which I love now so much^^

And 'nineteen, twenty-one' which I adore, because art is great!

Anyway, as I've got my class schedule, I've decided to paint it and now I'm looking for background image for it. I chose 'The One'. You can't imagine how hard is to find any, ANY wallpaper with characters from this manhua (maybe my methods are just wrong -_-; ). So at this moment I'm looking through all series and copying best shoots... But still the quality is not very good :( On the other hand, this searching have made me reminding all best moments and wanting more and more chaps. Yeah, this manhua is just to good *_*

I've got the same feelings during reading 'Nana'... I wonder if Ai Yazawa will be brave enough to start series again.

The One, chapter 68

It was fast translated^^

The plot: all close friends of Yin find out about his situation. Yin is not eating, his father gives him some drugs, i suppose.

Soooo... nothing really happen. It's just an introduction to next actions. I'm very curious: will Yin escape by himself? Or sb will help him? Will it be Lele or Long? Or both of them? Just before kidnapping  Ulysees Dowlan show up. Maybe Long will ask him for a help? I guess, Yin will meet Madame Mode and tell her the truth about her personality in the sweetest way he can^^ He possibly destroy also his father :] I can't wait for this :)

Today i've read Yuuwaku no Bansan. Just don't read it, ok? It's terrible :P

just finished

i've just finished reading Provance -the comics by Nicky Lee, The One's author. Two love stories about owners of teashop in Taipei. It had been drawn before The One series started and you can see it ;) I mean - recent chaps of The One, when it comes to art, are masterpieces to me. I love the way author uses photographs as a background. It looks sooo good ^^ Well, in Provance it is also used:)

Read today

Love lesson.com - 2/4 short stories by Yuuhi Ryuu. Guess author really needed XXX while drawing this :P First story is about high school girl who is writing a fake blog about love between student and teacher. In reality hot teacher from her school, who is a fan of the blog, is helping her to make it more realistic... Everyone knows how it ends :P Anyway, the story is ok, teacher is real bishie ^^ And be careful! On mangafox pages from 5-11 comes to the end of comics

The second story is about PERVERTED junior high girl. She's got a boyfriend, but for her he is too cold. What can she do about it? Well, the storyline is quite nice but... why the girl in this age would want XXX so badly? This is unrealistic for me! 

Hanayomesama wa 16 - sai by Yuuhi Ryuu. Simple: 16-year old orphan with terrible loan + rich bishie who made girl his wife. On StarryHeaven site it is said there are 3 volumes of the story, on mangafox site there is first volume completed and 3 chaps from second one. 

Even if the storyline is very common, the comics is ok. It's easy to like characters and they love each other sooo much! It's cute! And the way Shinga teases Tamaki... Mrau, it's too sexy! Well, on the other hand i don't get why there are so short time terms. I mean, Tamaki finds out that she is in love after a week? And she doesn't even mourn her mother :/ IMO, the story would be much, much better if there will be 'after a month', not 'after a week'. It's a small change which doesn't influence the storyline but make it more realistic. I think, the story is not of must-read-it stuff but if you just want to relax reading sth you can read this one

And about drawings... Bishies are hot. Girls are boring. Backgrounds are simple. It's not like a piece of art, but it's fine. And what is important - it's easy to follow the plot. It's clear what is first, what is next and who is speaking. I find mangas which are not like that really annoying (e.g. vampire knight^^)

Anyway, during last 2 weeks there were new chaps of the one, maid-sama!, ouran, vampire knight and kyou koi wo hajimemasu. if you don't want any spoilers, don't read the rest of text

As always, vk was boring. Really. I have no idea why it's so popular. And why Zero took Aidou as a prisoner? Could anybody explain that to me? Every time i'm reading vk, i feel like the author didn't even have idea what to do with all the story. There are murders, cabals, everybody is in pain, but it doesn't move me even a bit. Hope it would end soon.

Maid-sama! and Ouran... in both stories there were confessions. As the mangas are SHOUJO and about relationships between Misa&Usui/Haruhi&Tamaki it's a perfect moment to end them! Especially Ouran. In Maid we still don't really know what's going on with Usui's family. There are some objections, couple can't live happily ever after. While reading,  in my mind there was 'WTF' all the time. Anyway, i believe everything will clear up soon and ending is coming.

And about Ouran... last chap was really pathetic. I wonder if the fact that Tamaki didn't know what to do on the first date was supposed to be funny. It wasn't. Some people could say 'well, it wasn't like it was bad...' Yeah. Comparing to chaps about Tamaki's father revenge it was at last comical. But try reading first chaps of manga... Ouran is good as an anime. It ends in perfect moment. Manga is too long. The climat has changed so much that it could be story written by someone else. I was really afraid the series would continue. However, i've read there will be just 2 chaps more. Bonzai!

Just few words about The One and i'm going to bed. The story starts as the history about Lele. Now it's the history about twins. 2 chaps without even one image of Lele? What's going on? And it looks like it's just the beginning. I'm dying waiting for next chaps just to read about Lele's career in Paris.

 

And one last thing: onemanga was closed down. Translating groups move their updates to irc. it's almost impossible to watch the newest episode online. Being otaku is slowly becoming difficult :(

why i prefer shoujo manga...

"In the year 300X AD, the age in which Earth was to be ruled by the Margarita Empire had come. The emperor, Tsuru Tsururiina IV, in order to make everyone in the world be bald, sent out an army of hair hunters. Hair hunting was going on all over the place.

Even today, Hair Hunter Block G under squad leader Pikari was rampaging through a village. One after another, they attacked the villagers and used their "hair cutting martial arts" and cut off everyone's hair. Meanwhile, a little girl named Beauty was watching these events unfold. However, she was found by Pikari. She had her hair almost taken when a whip like thing came flying and took Pikari down. Beauty was somehow able to get away. That long whip was actually a long nose-hair controlled by a man named Bo~bobo Bobobo~bo. He has been travelling around the world destroying the Hair Hunters. Upon arriving at the Block G headquarters, Bo~bobo suddenly enters a battle against Captain Haagen. Bo~bobo uses his special nose hair attacks but Haagen does not hesitate in countering Bo~bobo is faced with a tough situation, but..."

yeah, that's why i prefer shoujo manga :P

The one - chapter 64

i started school again, so i don't have much time... Yet, i've read new chapter of 'the one' - taiwan manhua, so some thoughts about what's happening there. It's all big spoiler - so if you don't know manga - don't read it :P

First thing, it's really pisses me off that she bacame so popular in such a short time. I can't believe it can happen in real world. And she's got bad mood, everybody is concerned about her... She comes back and there is no complain... IMO, in fashion world there are too many girls who can be as good model as her, so with this kind of attitude she would become out-of work. Another thing: how can it be that she bumps into Yin soooo often? Well, i've never been in NYC, but i believe it's quite big (Big Apple, right?:P)

On the other hand Young Qui at last did sth helpful. It's a shame this character isn't more developed. She should have some drawback or background or sth... Anyway one chapter more with Lele still in coma and i would stop to read this comic :P (it's not true, anyway, i'm addicted) �

And Yin is too easy to read :( It would be so interesting if he really was an asshole :P I hope that he will do or say sth unkind and Lele will decide to go to Paris (in fact, i believe she will go). Anyway, she should be left whit no hope. Yes, i'm cruel :] �I want her to be happy at the end, but well... this end shouldn't come yet :P

A lot to write about :) And... is there anybody, who hasn't heard about Sailor Moon?

Well... That was the first anime i had ever watched. I was about 4 then  and it was still brand-new series, so on TV there was only the first season. I remember i liked it a lot :D Of course i was playing with friends we're sailors ;)

Then, 5 years later it was on TV once again. There were also comics, magazines, manga (but i wasn't intrested in it). Yeah, i think thats the moment when manga & anime became popular in Poland for the first time. The show was about 5 minutes after i finished lessons so i used to run from school to home like for a life ;) My friends didn't understand it :D

Then came Pokemons, Digimons, Shaman King (all on TV)  but Sailor Moon remain as my favorite series from the childhood. Without any problem i could recall all name and places. Well... anybody else could, so i stay silent;) 

One day my friend started to download anime (God bless torrents!) and Sailor Moon was one of the first. She borrowed me DVDs with 2 first seasons and during the time i was waiting for next i looked for manga. This way i discovered onemanga and mangafox ;) Manga was so fascinating i couldn't stop reading! And anime... i didn't finished it at all :P

I think, i'll compare manga & anime in new post... Just a little bit later
